Neil Young Busking in Glasgow

by Ryan on January 26, 2012

Today I received a frantic phone call from my uncle Stuart, it went something like this-

Me – Aye hullo
Him – I found it, I found it, I found it
Me – found what? Your brain??
Him – I found Neil Young
Me – What you talking about? Are you drunk again?

Him – I found footage of Neil Young busking in Glasgow on YouTube and I’ve sent you the link…ya dobber!!! That’s when he hung up, anyway the video he sent me was of a youthful Neil Young sitting outside Glasgow’s Central Station in 1976 busking…WOW I now owe my uncle an apology.

For years he would tell us all about the day he saw Neil Young sitting outside the train station, playing a banjo while wearing one of those Sherlock Holmes style Deerstalker hats. We would all sit there nodding our heads while trying not to laugh in his face, is that right Stuart aye, that’s great aye, you saw Neil Young busking on the street up the town centre aye I’m sure you did.

We actually thought he had maybe over indulged in some hardcore 70s psychedelic disco biscuits if you know what I mean. But no, he was surprisingly telling the truth.
So, for all those years where I laughed and ripped the pish out of you Uncle Stuart I’m sorry.
OK I’M SORRY, NOW  WILL YOU PLEASE STOP CALLING
I’M SORRY!!!
Have you ever stumbled upon a celebrity in an unusual place or situation? Please no Charlie Sheen stories, this is a family friendly site and what you get up to on the weekend is your business…dirty sods.
Thanks to Mark Freeman

It certainly took a loooong time for him to prove it to you all w/ this video… Get em good, Uncle Stuart, they deserve it for not believing you! LoL!

Brad Pitt was raised about 200 miles west of where I live & even though my sister went to collage there in Springfield & all the countless times I visited her & we went shopping & drove all over the city… we never ever saw him! heheheee =)

You never saw Brad at all Tricia?? Did I mention I saw him a few months ago while he was filming his new zombie movie in Glasgow. You didn’t miss much Tricia, he’s an ugly wee sod of a man in real life without all the make-up and Hollywood special effects!!! At first glance, I thought he was Danny DeVito.

I haven’t run into any celebs by mistake but my friend was most gleeful when she sat next to the lead singer from Green Day in Wagamamma after one of their concerts!
